Revolt 1857 is result of social, economic and Political conditions.Revolt It began with a Sepoy mutiny and later people from different background have also Joined and mutiny turned into revolt.Revolt 1857 is also considered as First war of Independence. But eventually revolt could not succeed.

-Restriction to North and central part of India

-Lack of unity as no modern nationalize was yet to born

-Certain classes didn't Join like Big Zamindar, Ruler

-Intelligentsia have not supported ad they belief British could bring change in the society

-Indian soldiers were poorly equipped

-No coordination and not long term Goal and perspective.

Although Revolt could not succeed but this revolt had disturbed the whole East India Company. As a result of this revolt, India came directly under the British Crown.
