Answer:
Kheda is a district in the state of Gujarat. Farmers here faced a terrible famine. After this British conducted a land survey and compelled the peasants to pay land revenue. They, therefore, started a no- tax movement in Kheda district in 1918.Affected by crop failure and a plague epidemic, the peasants of Kheda could not pay the revenue, and were demanding that revenue collection be released.
