Why did the king go like an Ordinary man to the hermit

The king went to the wise hermit to get the answers of his three questions. He went there alone because if he had gone there with his bodyguards, the hermit would have recognized him. He dressed himself like a commoner man because the hermit received none but a common folk.

If the question is from 'The Three Questions' which I studied last year, then here's the answer.

The king had heard tales about the renowned and the wise hermit, who lived in a forest to serve his life.

The hermit was not used to see the Royal people, and hence, the king went to the hermit to ask his 3 questions dressed in rags.
