Explanation:

The Maharaja was filled with anxiety, since he wanted to disprove the prediction of the astrologer that he will be killed by the 100th tiger. The Maharaja ordered the minister to find a tiger in any village. If he found so, then the taxes would be exempted for that particular village.

The minister found that there was a particular village where a tiger was lurking and killing their livestock. But when the Maharaja visited the village he found that there was no such tiger. So he increased the tax twice for that village. Later, the king threatened the minister that he will remove him from his job, if he did not find a tiger to hunt. So the minister found an old and weak tiger, bought it from the zoo, and at the next day, the tiger was sent into the forest. The king was sent for and the king took aim and shot the tiger. But he missed the aim and the tiger swooned due to the sound of the bullet. The soldiers who accompanied the king killed it and it was buried with honour. But, when the king went to buy a gift for his son's birthday, he bought a wooden tiger toy, which was full of slivers. While the king was playing with his son, one of the slivers pricked him and he died of the infection the next day. Thus, the 100th tiger took revenge over the king
