The members of the 3rd estate were arguing about the process for the estate general. each estate had one vote. the third estate insisted that each person have one vote.when the deadlock over prodecure could not be resolved, the members of the third estate declatred themselves to be the legitmate representative body and renamed themselves as the national assembly. then they said that they wont disband until they write the constitution of france. the third estate invited the members of the the 2nd and 3rd estate to be a part of the national assembly.
