Answer:

because the squirrel  coming in the monkey's way and the squirrel throwing small pebbles and small stones was not helping much. The monkeys then asked him to go back home but he would just not listen and kept on bringing pebbles from the shore and drop them into the sea. one of the monkeys got angry and threw the squirrel away but instead of fall on the ground, it landed into Lord Rama's palms. Lord Rama gave him a gift that no matter from what the squirrel falls, it will never get hurt and then he ran his fingers on it's back and from that very day the squirrel carries the lines on it's back, the traces of Lord Rama's fingers

The squirrel fell into the hands of lord rama. lord rama told the monkeys not to make fun of the squirrel because he was small. lord rama gently ran his fingers over the squirrel's back and put him down. the three white stripes that we see on the back of a squirrel are believed to be the marks of lord rama's fingers.
