why did the Mughals find it necessary to seek the help of the marathas? help me guys​

Answer:

They started raiding northern India, subjugating rebel mughal governors. Marathas wanted only money so they started collecting chauth(tax) from mughal provinces which the badshah allowed. Gradually marathas stayed in court and they also influenced the mughal court.
