why did the municipal corporation of Indore install artificial Ponds for Ganesh Visarjan

If the Ganesh immersion happen in natural lakes or ponds then there will be alot of pollution due to plaster of Paris and other puja things. In order to conserve the natural ponds Municipal corporation of Indore took this decision

this is obvious

because we know that idols are made from mud and paints and hay which when immersed in water bodies disintegrate and form organic and inorganic pollutants for the water body hence causing water pollution...

to prevent this cause the municipal corporation is taking steps to undergo smooth immersion without hampering the purity of water bodies which are used regularly by the major population of Indore...

thereby creating artificial immersion ponds..
