Narrator felt very bad about himself when his mind thought to throw an log on the innocent snake after throwing the snake went to the burning whole after that the narrator felt sorry for his behaviour and compared to the large sea bird albetros where one of the mariners shoot it with the bow and this is how the mariner felt soory after throwing a stick at snake

The poem begins with the Wandererasking the Lord for understanding and compassion during his exile at sea. He cannot avoid going tosea, however, because this life is his fate. TheWanderer goes on to recall the hardships he has faced in his life, like watching his kinsmen be ruined and even slaughtered.
