The narrator and other children did not brush their teeth because they did not want to miss their favourite bread bangles brought by the baker. Moreover they thought that drinking hot cup of milk would be enough to clean their teeth. The argument put forward by them was that, tiger having sharper teeth doesn't brush it's teeth.
