england is a place,so small for agriculture to take plac. tere was no such market there.also indigo is such a crop when grown once ,makes the soil imfertile that no other crop can be grown on that land.
englansd do not have much of area to d all this.but the dyes from indigo were in demand in their market.
on the other hand,india isa large country and good i agriculture so they want uindians to grow indigo for the dyes for the manufacturing of their clothes as a raw material.
