as the colonial government stopped shifting cultivation , hunting and collection of forest produce the people of bastar were worried. They were not allowed to stay in the reserved forests until they agree to work for forest department. Villagers suffered from increased land rent sand frequent demanding of free labour from the colonial government. THerefore they revolted against the britishers.
