In the poem “the Snake”, the poet D.H Lawrence felt happy and honored due to the fact that the snake came to the poet’s house as a guest and drank water from the water which was present in his water trough.

The poem successfully portrays an amicable relationship between a human being and a deadly reptiles which is greatly feared.
