Upon recalling this memory, he expresses his emotion of grief. He regrets the fact of not having the privilege of travelling both roads. He is feeling regret and sadness for the road he did not take and imagines what things he could have found on that road. And what probable experience he could have witnessed first hand, but had missed out on.
