poet threw a log at snake because he got influenced by the voice of education. the voice of his education was forcing him to kill the snake,,he threw log when the snake is going back into the earth

The Snake by D.H Lawrence is a poem which talks about the coexistence which is at peace between the creatures and a man. Further, it talks about the guilt and sins of a man because he fails to respect God's creations.

In the poem, the poet firstly admires the snake but when his instincts are overpowered by his education he concludes that if he would let him drink the water the snake can be dangerous and can kill him in future. To prevent such an act he throws the log over the snake to kill him
