why did the poet wants to travel the both road

if u mean he wanted to travel both then                                                                 bcz he does not know what would be in the roads hence he wanted to travel both the roads , but as one he could nt travel both as there may be further choices.
if u mean he wanted to travel second road then
 bcz it looked less troden and a little grassy and also more inviting.but the next day both were looking same as they were covered by yellow leaves that day. he knew tht if he takes the 2 road he would never come back and travel the other but even then he takes the road less traveled
