Ali was a very humble and patient man who sat at the post office everyday, waiting for his daughter's letter and not disturbing anyone. However, the post master and other people were very annoyed at this and mocked at him. They were very ill-behaved and it was not at all right for the post master to call Ali a 'pest'. They were rude and not at all concerned about the anxieties of a father. Thus calling Ali a 'pest' is not justified at any cost.

The postmaster calls Ali a pest because every day he (Ali ) came early to the post office and waited for a long time and the postmaster used to notice him....
But after sometime because of his illness he was not able to come to the post office. Then one day when the post master was going out of the country he encountered Ali, there were clear sign on his face that he has reached his end and he was not able to control his impatience so he asked to the postmaster for his daughter Miriam's letter But the postmaster was in such a hurry to go out of the country that he lost his temper and called Ali a pest
