The subas of Bengal complained about the behaviour of Portuals to Shahjahan. As a result, the Emperor gave orders and following them the Hugli fort was demolished and the ships were burnt. In this way the Portugal rule came to an end and their rule got limited up to Diu, Daman & Goa
