The provincial advisor for studies tried to discourage him because, he thought that the author had no  chance whatsoever against the ‘tip-toppers’ from Oxford and Cambridge. Also according to him if the author did try  secure admission to Cambridge, then it would be a big waste of Ten thousand rupees.
