The farmer was using Gulliver as an exhibit to earn some quick money. This took a toll on the latter’s health as he was taken to a different place each day. Soon, he began to fall sick. Soon, this news reached the ears of the Queen of the land and she summoned the farmer to her court. Another reason she does this is that she wanted Gulliver for herself.
Knowing the farmer's lust for money, the Queen made an agreement with him to buy Gulliver for one thousand pieces of gold. Since this was much more than the farmer had expected, he agreed readily. She also noticed how happy Gulliver was to bid good-bye to the farmer.
