why did the relation between india and china failed to achieve their full potential during cold war years ? explain?

THERE WAS EXTREME POLITICAL TENSIONS BETWEEN INDIA AND CHINA IN THE FACE OF DEVELOPMENT.THERE WERE ALSO FIGHT FOR TERITTORIES IN KASHMIR AND PERHAPS IN INDIA'S FIGHT WITH PAKISTAN,CHINA WAS WITH PAKISTAN TOO.
