As sadhu wanted to save animals in the forest , he asked the jackal to take him for his meal. If I was in the place of sadhu I would do the same so that the animals lead happy life.

Sadhu had a plan to kill the jackal.And wanted to save the animals in the jungle .So that's why he asked the jackal to eat him. If I would be in is place i would do the same that the jackal did because by doing that the animals in the jungle can leave happily.
