Aloha user  Question :- Why did the sailors hang the dead albatross around the mariner's neck?  Answer :- this is a question from ancient mariner,......!!! here it describes abt a old mariner and an albatross.........!!  Coming to the question ........The sailors hang the dead albtross on or around the mariners neck ...because he is the one who killed the albatross......the sailors and other mariners consider the albatross as god messenger who come to help them when the albatross come to the mariners the nature became so bright ........but the ancient or old mariner killled the mariner it started raining heavily and destroyed the  nature .........as punishment they hang the albatross on his neck

The albatross is hung around the Mariner's neck because when he kills it, the crew of his ship blames him for the bad luck they suffer afterwards. The winds die down, and they are all stranded at sea.
