Shudra, fourth and lowest of the traditional varnas, or social classes, of India, traditionally artisans and labourers.

  • The reason the shudra's did menial tasks was that they were considered the fourth and lowest traditional varnas. And no one gave them work because of they caste. And this forced them to do menial tasks.
