Lavinia told John Hallock to be a partner to Laura Hinkle at the Ouija Board party. He did so though he didn't want to, as he promised Helen that he would dissuade his friends and acquaintances from using the Ouija Boards. But when the spirit noticed John Hallock himself using the Ouija Board, they call him traitor.
