The Tribals Agitated under the British Rule, because of the Following Reasons:
1. Shifting Cultivation was banned, due to which, they could not earn their livelihood,
2. Taxes were imposed on the Peasants and the Working class, to earn revenue,
3. Entry to the Forests was restricted, because the Britishers wanted to only grow timber for Industries and Railway,
4. Loans were available to them on very high interests;
5. The People who worked were often taken away to the Plantations, and they could not return back easily, because of the Inland Emigration Act, 1859.
