Tsars ruled USSR [comprised of countries like Russia, Ukraine,Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan etc] in early 20th century. It was very vast area spread over two continents. Therefore it had been called a Euro-Asian power.

Cause of decline of Tsars:

People under Tsars were mostly agriculturalists. After first world war Tsar Nicholas II ruled Russian empire. Russian economy had suffered a lot by first world. The Russian army was the largest army in the world before first world War. By 1917, Russian army had lost lives of many soldiers. Russia was the largest supplier of food in first world war which led to the shortage of the food.

This made Tsar emperor Nicholas II infamous among the people. On 8th March, 1917 a movement took place demanding for peace and bread. Nicholas ordered the army to suppress the movement instead the army joined in the movement.

In just two days, the situation became so bad that Tsar Nicholas II left his throne and escaped.

This movement was the beginning of the great Russian Revolution.
