Why did the two boys develop hatred for the Germans?

The boys belonged to a cultured family. But their father who was a widower but a good singer died in the war while the Nazis started capturing different countries. Even their house and propeties were devasted and the two boys and their sister came to road. They had to struggle with starvation for many days. Due to these instances the boys grew to hate the Germans.

The reason for their hatred was tonly because the Germans killed their parents at the time when they were just small kids...and they were left without parents and had no food to eat or even look after their sick sister.
