the waterfall gave taro sake and others water because taro was extremely compassionate towards his parents and was always helping them

The waterfall give Taro sake as he was a thoughtful and beautiful son who cared for his parents were well being. The villages where greedy and wanted to have the drink free of cost, without any labour. So the waterfall give them only water and nothing else.
