The youthful seagull was alone on the ledge. His two siblings and his sister had just taken off the day preceding. He had been reluctant to fly with them. By one way or another when he had taken a little kept running forward to the verge of the edge and endeavored to fold his wings he ended up apprehensive. The incredible span of sea extended down underneath, and it was such a log way down. He felt sure that his wings could never support him; so he twisted his head and fled back to the little opening under the edge where he dozed during the evening. In this manner he feared flying over the sea.
