So,they decided to adopt children but not humans rather trees.They planted 284 banyan trees along a 3 km stretch on the Highway in Karnataka.This act helped to fill the void in their life.They transformed the once brown and dusty road into a riot of green.

Later,they received the National Citizen's Award from the prime minister.
