Thimmakka and her husband were childless couples so to fill the gap they adopted banyan trees and started to take care of them as their children.
They planted 284 banyan trees on the side road of national highway 48 and water it daily to help them grow big.
For such a great social work towards the environment, thimmakka has received National Citizens Award from PM.
