beacuse his aunt would pull out his loose tooth using a silk thread and a piece of burning coal ....when last time tom made this excuse for not going to school his aunt tied a silk thread on his loose tooth and tied the other end to the bedpost then brought the burning coal towards his face...as tom saw the coal he pulled himself back and his loose tooth was Extracted
