were central to economy and society. Temple authority used their wealth to finance trade and banking. Also the large no of pilgrims provided ample oppurtunities for traders and artisans to conduct business

1 activites- the temples were for economy,society and devotion
2 donations- the pilgrims and priest who celebrated festival.the pilgrims who flocked together also made donations
