Dr. Verrier Elwin was one of the prominent British author and anthropologist. He made North East his second home. He came to Assam to study the art of the hill people. He was of the view that the people of Assam were very friendly and humble. They were very courteous and hospital towards the foreigners. He wishes that the people of Assam may not lose such good attribute ever in their life.
