There are many reasons
1) They accepted the harsh and humiliating treaty of Versailles and the Germans held this new republic responsible for it.
2) From the onset , this republic was financially crippled by the war compensations imposed on Germany.
3) There were some inherent defects in Weimar Republic, which made it vulnerable to dictatorship. One reason was proportional representation, which made one acheivimg one majority by any one party was impossible.another reason is The article 48. It gave the president to impose emergency and rule by decree and suspend civic rights.
So, these were some drawbacks of Weimar Republic, which didn't last long and people lost confidence in it
