Why did you do this 60x-10(30-x) ?

Why can't it be 60x+10(30-x) ?

because when the 10 will be multiplied by other ones than the whole value will come in minus of the bracket.

In first equation if 30-x is any value so by the - 10 it will opposite sign to other equitation
