Answer:
had a really good dream and I just woke up at the climax so I try to fall asleep hoping to get back and catch the dream (Sadly, it doesn’t work but I’m still trying very hard!)
I’m a lazy person so if I pretend to be sleep then I put off my chores/homework etc. (Procrastination is addicting)
I notice my mom is awake and I don’t want to get up and prepare breakfast for everyone even though it’s my responsibility
I have a lot stress related things in my mind and trying to sleep might calm me
People act more quieter around me; they stop making noise
I want some time to myself and nobody bothers a sleeping person
Hope it helps ❤️

Answer:
You don't have to pretend to sleep in order to fall asleep, but if you are having trouble falling asleep, it can help. There are many ways to fall asleep. The body is predisposed to falling asleep when one is tired and just by closing your eyes it gives a signal to the brain to shut down.
