Hey prince
Your answer ✍✍✍✍✍✍
Simply rinse your desired amount of beans, then soak them in water for 6-8 hours, using a ratio of 3 cups of water for every cup of beans. (This soaking time applies to heartier beans like white beans, chickpeas, kidney beans, etc.. Some, more delicate legumes such as lentils can be soaked for merely an hour.

hey ✌
we soak beans in water overnight so that the moisture of the water can completely filled in it making it very soft.
since beans are too hard so we can't eat them , so soaking them overnight makes them soft that can be easily digested by us.
once they are soaked overnight they can be boiled or cooked properly for consumption.
hope it helps u ☝
