Narad Muni and Hunter Mrigari

Mrigari kill many animals and leave them half dead to suffer. But when he took shelter of the great devotee Narada Muni, who became his spiritual master, he gave up his sinful activities.

Mrigari became a devotee of Lord Hari. He realized that all the living species is part and parcel of Lord. Now he respects every living entities.

So, he didn't step on the ants.
