Stalin's policy of collectivization did not yield immediate results because of criticism faced.
- The effects of the collectivization of farms were criticised. Over two million individuals were either in prison or labour camps as a result of Stalin and his followers transforming their detractors into conspirators against socialism. Following it, many of these individuals were put to death because they were accused of making fake confessions.
- Too much torture was used during their execution. Many of those who were sentenced to death by execution were skilled individuals as well as professionals. The collectivization strategy of Stalin does not provide results right away for a number of reasons. Following are some of the key reasons why Stalin's collectivization policy has not yielded rapid results:
- Stalin implemented a policy to collectivise farms in order to address the food scarcity, however many small landowners did not agree with this strategy, which prevented the plan from being sufficiently successful.
- At the time, Stalin made the decision to exterminate the kulaks in order to impose state authority over farms, but this was impossible because many small landowners were opposed to it.
- Stalin coined the word "kolkhoz" to describe the community farms. These collective farms were intended to be farmed by various farmers cooperatively, however due to several land issues, this was not feasible.
Hence, Stalin's policy of collectivization did not yield immediate results.
