why didn't the alpha particles get attracted to the electrons but only got repelled by the protons during the experiment conducted by E Rutherford (Gold Foil Experiment) ?

Because alpha particles are positively charged and electrons r negatively charged
as the positive and negative attract and negative and negative or positive and positive repple. so it is not attracted by the protons and therefore Lord Rutherford discovered nucleus of the atom
