The Tiger King issued a public statement that if anyone dared to kill a tiger he would be punished. Only the king shall have the authority to kill the tigers. Once, a high ranking British officer visited Pratibadhapuram. He was fond of hunting tigers but he was even fonder of posing with the dead tiger. So he wanted to kill a tiger in Pratibandhipuram. When the king declined the proposal, the officer even said that he was prepared to pose with the tiger that the king will kill. But he got a negative respond only. His wish was not fulfilled as the Tiger King did not give him the permission to kill tigers in his area. The king told that he would arrange for some other kind of hunting like mosquito, boar or mouse but not a single tiger. The Tiger King was very arrogant and proud of himself. He wanted to be praised by everyone for his preeminence. So, he did not allow the British official to kill the tiger. The Tiger King could not tolerate anyone questioning his authority and fame.
