The swallow didn't fly to eygpt even after it's work got over as it didn't want to leave the prince alone and wanted to stay and help him. The bird was happy with the prince's kindness and wanted to stay with  him. The prince didn't have any eyes so the sparrow wanted to be the eyes for him.
