Why dilute HCl is not oxidising agent but dilute HNO3 is an oxidising agent?Give an equational answer......

Because HNO3 have a large mass of oxygen and when reacted with another element realeases oxygen to perform oxidation.

yiiii: But concentrated HCl is an oxidising agent,why??
