The zygote needs nourishment during its development .As mature, fertilized embryo sac offers very little nourishment to the zygote, the primary endosperm cell divides and generates the endosperm tissue which nourishes the zygote .Hence the zygote alwaysdivides after division of primary endosperm cell.
