Viruses very much smaller size than bacterias and they are only RNA or DNA with only a protein coat. hence they are so small that they are not easy to be catch and killed by the macrophages and neutrophils of the the immune system while bacterias are in large size and have antigen proteins on its body surface which can be easily detected by the immune system and they get killed .
