As double refraction takes place

harsha3175: how?
anormas: As it change medium two time first when it enters in and another when it comes out from another side

bcoz glass slab is parallel. light disperses at first then again all the colours form white light.
it just the same as it happens when u keep two prisms n pass white light from them. actually double refraction takes place
hope it helps

harsha3175: we have not kept 2 glass slabs
tiyasaluja: i am telling that same happens when u keep 2 glass prims
tiyasaluja: prisms*
harsha3175: no it won't coz their are 2 prisms but in case of slab its only one how it can refract and becomes again white light
tiyasaluja: bcoz glass slab has 2 parallel sides
tiyasaluja: on refracts white light into 7 colurs and tgen tge other makes all the colours white again
tiyasaluja: one*
tiyasaluja: then* the*
harsha3175: ofcourse it has 2 parallel sides but they are not separated
harsha3175: i got u ... thank u
