ANSWER

Distilled water is devoid of any minerals.

Distilled water is purest water. It does not have any ions or minerals like calcium, iron etc. And therefore there will not be any electron present in the water.

For electricity to travel it needs electrons.

So it does not conduct electricity and is a insulator.

Distilled water is also unhealthy for human body because our body needs ions and minerals to keep us going.

Distilled water has its own many uses.

  1. It is used in aquarium to give fishes long life.
  2. It is used in engines as it is non corrosive.
  3. It is used in surgical processes.
  4. It is used as a coolant in nuclear powered ships.
