why distilled water does not conduct electricity but tap water conducts some electricity ?give reason.

because distilled water is pure it does not have electron or ions so this cannot conduct electricity.

Distilled water does not contain any salts or impurities. The normal tap water contains salts and other impurities which conducts water when electricity is passed. Hence tap water conducts ekectricity.
